The WCYV Summer Volleyball Camp and Clinic registration will open in May! All summer activities will be held in Boyd Elementary School Gym located at 600 Knox Ave, Boyd TX. (GPS can be tricky when entering this address. See below for detailed directions.)

Clinic: Our 3 day skills clinic is tailored to our beginners and players of all ages that need work on fundamental skills (basic passing, serving, serve-recieve passing etc.). Each day focuses on a specific skill (passing, serving, setting) to build a strong foundation to start the next season with. This clinic is offered in the P.M. hours of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Specific dates are listed below.

Clinic will for new players and those that have 1-2 seasons experience that need work on fundamentals.

Camp: Our 5 day camp builds on fundamental skills while increasing court and game knowledge to ensure the advancement of overall skills in experienced players of all ages, and promote confidence in the incoming 7th graders as they ready themselves for the Middle School tryouts, as well as build knowledge of game situations and and court awareness. In addition to skills, we also run a conditioning segment before we break for snack. This gives players the opportunity to learn different conditioning workouts to use in preparation for the timed mile and Middle School Athletics.and gain intrinsic skills to strengthen athletic skills pertaining to volleyball. This camp runs during the day, Monday-Friday. Players will also play in a scrimmage Friday at 12-Noon to showcase skills developed and enhanced during the camp. Parents and Spectators are welcome. Specific dates are listed below.
Players in this camp need to have solid foundational skills (controlled passes, experience with setting, etc.) and should be able to successfully underhand serve.

Camp will be July 14-18
Camp will be from 10am-1pm each day.
Skills Schedule:
Day 1: Defensive Passing (forearm and overhead), serving, Serve receive passing
Day 2: Review passing,Focus on Setting, Serving, Serve Receive passing, begin hitting, Court Awareness
Day 3: Review Setting, focus on Hitting, Serving, Court Awareness
Day 4: Review Hitting, Serving, Hit and Block Coverage/Court Awareness
Day 5: Review all skills, Scrimmage (Parents are invited to attend)
The scrimmage will begin with warm up at 11:30 and game at 12:00 Noon. Please bring a personal chair or seat, as there are no bleachers in the gym.
Camp for experienced players: (please complete the form linked below. PAYMENT CAN BE MADE WITH CASH, CHECK, VENMO, AND CARD AT CHECK-IN THE FIRST DAY OF CAMP. Those that pre-register online will be guaranteed the online registration price when payment is made.) Venmo payments can be made to @WiseCounty-YouthVolleyball at any time before, and on the first day of camp.

*Why do we charge a higher fee for on site registration? We try to keep our player to instructor ratio low to ensure that each player gets the attention they need to thrive. Offering a lower price for online pre-registration allows us to more accurately estimate the amount of instructors needed while having an increased price for on-site allows us to call in reinforcements with compensation for scheduling at the last minute.
